The team name "The Boiled Owls" uses an entertaining term from the big book denoting someone who is pickled, stewed, canned, baked, sauced, juiced or otherwise buzzed like a bee. Together, we can help each other to avoid these fates. In the process, some of us run into near freezing water on January 1st!
As for us, numerous friends and I regularly swim in the cold lake (for years now). The Chill Challenge is the only chance I get to do something useful for others with that impulse. I'm open to jumping in, and you can decide. I'm not sure what all of my teammates will do, because they are in the category of things I cannot control!
